존경하는 한국어 교육자 여러분,

미국 한국어교사협회(KLTA-USA) 이사장으로서 이 자리에 함께하게 되어 매우 기쁩니다. 우리 협회는 지난 세월 동안 미국 내 한국어 교육의 저변을 넓히고, 교육의 질을 높이며, 차세대 한국어 교육자들을 발굴·육성하는 데 힘써 왔습니다. 이는 각자의 자리에서 헌신적으로 노력해 주신 모든 회원 여러분 덕분입니다.

오늘 우리가 나누는 지식과 경험은 단지 교실 안에서만 머무르지 않습니다. 그것은 학생들의 삶 속에서 언어와 문화가 연결되는 다리가 되고, 서로 다른 세대와 문화를 이해하고 존중하는 길을 여는 힘이 됩니다. 여러분 한 분 한 분이 그 길을 열어 가는 선구자이며, 우리의 노력이 미래 세대의 자산이 됩니다.

앞으로도 KLTA-USA는 여러분의 전문성을 지원하고, 서로 배우고 성장할 수 있는 장을 마련하며, 한국어 교육의 위상을 세계 속에 더욱 높여 나가겠습니다. 함께라면 우리는 더 큰 비전을 이룰 수 있습니다.

Dear Korean language educators,

As the Chairperson of the Korean Language Teachers Association in the USA (KLTA-USA), I am truly honored to be here with you today. Our association has worked tirelessly over the years to expand the reach of Korean language education in the United States, improve its quality, and discover and nurture the next generation of Korean language educators. This has been possible thanks to the dedication and commitment of every one of our members.

The knowledge and experiences we share today will not remain confined within our classrooms. They become bridges that connect language and culture in our students’ lives, opening doors to mutual understanding and respect across generations and cultures. Each of you is a pioneer in building these pathways, and our efforts together will be an invaluable legacy for the future.

Moving forward, KLTA-USA will continue to support your professional growth, create spaces for collaboration and mutual learning, and elevate the standing of Korean language education on the global stage. Together, we can achieve an even greater vision.
